Official Announcement: Promotion No Longer Requires a Direct Link
At BigSEO, we hold a strict stance against self-promotion within our community. Recently, there has been an increasing trend where members suggest they have achieved something valuable but then imply they cannot share it directly, instead encouraging others to reach out for more information through private messages. Phrases like, “I did X but cannot promote it here,” or “Interested? DM me for details,” have become more common.
We want to clarify that such approaches—especially those that solicit direct messages or indirect promotion—are considered self-promotional activities. Our forum is designed for professional, adult SEOs who adhere to ethical standards and contribute constructively to the community. Engaging in or encouraging self-promotion through private channels undermines these principles.
Therefore, we remind all members that promotion, regardless of whether a direct link is included, is not permitted. Respecting these guidelines helps maintain a professional, valuable space for everyone.
We believe in your ability to engage honestly and professionally. Let’s work together to keep BigSEO a respectful and informative environment for all members.
